The Hollywood Helicopter Pilot Behind Extreme Aerials
Oct. 9 (Bloomberg) — Helinet Aviation’s Alan Purwin is not your average pilot. He flies with a camera mounted to his helicopter to capture aerial footage for movies and television shows. Purwin’s work often involves stunts — he has flown into a tunnel, though canyons, and nosedived down skyscrapers. Bloomberg heads to Los Angeles to meet Purwin and David Nowell, Helinet’s director of photography, to learn how they get those sweet shots. Video by: Jeniece Pettitt, Justin Beach (Source: Bloomberg)
